Kathmandu: Purushottam Khanal, the Chairman of the Nepal Telecommunication Authority, tendered his resignation on Tuesday, citing pressure. Khanal reportedly submitted his resignation to Communications Minister Rekha Sharma.
Khanal, appointed during Prime Minister KP Oli’s government in 2076, was originally given a five-year term as the Authority’s Chairman.
The chairman’s departure raises questions about the direction of the Nepal Telecommunication Authority and the challenges faced in managing telecom-related projects amidst evolving governmental priorities.
