Kathmandu: Guru Prasad Paudel, the Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank’s Banking Regulation Department, has taken to social media to address concerns over Nepal’s ranking in the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) 2023. Paudel emphasized the need for urgent action to combat corruption and improve the country’s global standing.
In the Facebook post, Paudel highlighted Nepal’s CPI score of 35 points, securing the 108th position worldwide, a slight decrease from the previous year’s ranking. Expressing the importance of digital transformation, he urged stakeholders to build a transparent and accountable system. Paudel’s message concluded with a powerful call to embrace digital solutions and transparency in the fight against corruption.
