Kathmandu: In a recent decision by the Cabinet, the Ministry of Finance has reassigned responsibilities to several joint secretaries, with some seeing changes in their roles.
Deepak Lamichhane has been appointed as the Chief Customs Administrator at the Birgunj Customs Office, while Kavita Regmi and Gopi Krishna Koirala have been designated as Deputy Directors General of the Inland Revenue Department. Ramesh Aryal will now serve as the Chief Tax Administrator at the Large Taxpayer Office, and Parvati Sharma has been assigned as the Chief Tax Administrator at the Medium Taxpayer Office.
Additionally, Yamuna Pradhan and Janak Raj Sharma have been appointed as Deputy Directors General of the Customs Department. Hari Sharan Pudasaini has been promoted to Director General of the Customs Department, Ram Prasad Acharya to Director General of the Inland Revenue Department, and Dilli Ram Panthi has been given the responsibility of Deputy Controller General at the Office of the Auditor General.
Other appointments include Uttarkumar Khatri to the Revenue Management Division, Madan Dahal to the Administration Division, Than Prasad Pageni to the Financial Federalism Coordination Division, Mahesh Bhattarai to the Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division, and Amrit Lamsal has been assigned responsibilities within the Ministry of Finance.
