Kathmandu: In an exciting development, the Peace Corps and Nepal’s Ministry of Forests and Environment have joined forces to launch a new project focused on environmental conservation. This collaboration marks a significant step in promoting environmental stewardship across the country.
Beginning in January 2025, the first-ever group of Peace Corps volunteers dedicated to environmental work will arrive in Nepal. These volunteers will be engaged in teaching environmental concepts in schools and collaborating with community forest user groups to promote sustainable practices.
The initiative underscores the commitment of both Peace Corps and the Ministry of Forests and Environment to fostering a greener and more sustainable future for Nepal.
The Ministry and Peace Corps Nepal are excited to welcome this new batch of volunteers and work together to advance environmental conservation efforts in the country.
