Kathmandu: The teaser of Laaj Sharanam, one of the most anticipated movies of the year, has been officially released. The production team unveiled the teaser on YouTube today, featuring most of the film’s lead actors.

The teaser begins with a father praying for the safety of his son, who is about to leave home for foreign employment. However, the story takes a tragic turn when the son returns in a coffin, leading to intense emotional turmoil.

Yet, the teaser hints at an unexpected twist, as seen in the expressions of the characters. It remains unclear what exactly unfolds, but the son has already returned home. The teaser further showcases a dramatic rescue scene in a river and a conflict, adding to the suspense.

The teaser indicates that the movie will highlight the struggles of poverty and unemployment. The cinematography, combined with breathtaking locations, enhances the visual appeal. Long shots contribute to the teaser’s artistic beauty, making it more captivating.

Laaj Sharanam is a film created by the team behind the popular comedy TV series Sakkigoni. From the writer and director to the lead actors, the Sakkigoni team has a strong presence in the film.

The movie features Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus), Mukunda Shrestha, Mahesh Tripathi, Vijay Baral, Aparna Thapa, Renu Yogi, Vijay Lama, Mala Limbu, and Sakkigoni team members Arjun Ghimire (Paade), Sagar Lamsal (Bale), Harish Niraula (Krakroz), Priyana Acharya (Munni), and Kamalmani Nepal (Khupika Bau), among others.

Directed by Kumar Kattel, popularly known as ‘Jigri Bro,’ Laaj Sharanam is set to release on February 25, coinciding with the Maha Shivaratri festival.

Produced under the banner of JPT Creation, the film has Navin Shrestha as the producer, with Ram Naresh Shah and Srijana Khadka as co-producers. The cinematography has been handled by Sudip Baral.
