Kathmandu, May 26 – The Federation of Nepal Industry and Commerce is set to organize a highly anticipated job fair in the capital city. The event will take place on June 16th and 17th at the federation’s secretariat located in Teku. The grand inauguration of the job fair is scheduled for June 16th at 10 am.
The Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Security of the Government of Nepal, in collaboration with the International Labor Organization, is extending their support to ensure the success of the employment fair. The fair will feature an employment service center, along with the technical assistance of Mero Jawa, to provide guidance and aid to participants.
This event aims to proactively address the pressing issue of unemployment among the country’s youth. The job fair will bring together major companies to provide job opportunities, assist job seekers in finding new prospects, and foster an environment that encourages the youth to work within the country. Additionally, the fair will focus on identifying the necessary skills required for employment.
Over 100 companies have confirmed their participation in the job fair, with a target of providing employment opportunities to over 5,000 job seekers. The program will also include various consultation sessions on employment, skills development, and manpower enhancement.
Interested individuals seeking employment must register through the Federation’s website to participate in the program. The registration process will remain open until the end of the day. On the other hand, companies interested in participating were required to register by May 10th. The job fair will continue until May 17th, offering ample time for job seekers and companies to connect.
The Federation of Nepal Industry and Commerce plans to establish the job fair as an annual calendar event, reinforcing its commitment to addressing unemployment and promoting economic growth.
