United Socialist Party Nominates Rizal and Malla as National Assembly Candidates

Kathmandu: In a recent development, the ruling United Socialist Party has finalized its candidates for the upcoming National Assembly elections. The decision was made during a working group meeting on Monday morning, as informed by Vice President Rajendra Pandey.

The candidates nominated are Ghanshyam Rizal Vishwakarma from Dolakha, representing the Dalit quota in the Bagmati region, and Savitri Malla from Dailekh, chosen for the women’s quota in Karnali.

The responsibility of finalizing the candidates was delegated to President Madhav Kumar Nepal, Vice President Pandey, and General President Ghanshyam Bhusal during a secretariat meeting held on Sunday. This decision aligns with the ruling coalition’s agreement to allocate two seats to the Unified Socialists in the National Assembly elections. Vice President Pandey confirmed that the candidates were chosen in accordance with this agreement.
