Kathmandu: The term of the high-level committee tasked with investigating Ncell’s share purchase and sale has concluded, starting its work on 24th Mangsir. Despite the expiration of its term on Tuesday, a committee member disclosed that the investigation remains incomplete.
To ensure a thorough inquiry, the committee has proposed an extension of the deadline until the 15th of Magh. The government originally formed this high-level investigation committee, led by former Auditor General Tankamani Sharma, to delve into the intricacies of Ncell’s share transactions.
Committee members include Fanindra Gautam from the Government of Nepal, Ritesh Kumar Shakya from the Ministry of Finance, Baburam Bhandari from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, and Sujan Kumar Kafle, President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN).
