Kathmandu: Ram Bahadur Bamjan, accused of various crimes in the guise of an ascetic, is set to be presented by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) on Wednesday afternoon. Following his arrest from Budhanilkanth on Tuesday, the police are preparing to send him to Sarlahi today.
CIB sources indicate that since there is a case against him in Sarlahi, the district police office is ready to transfer him to Sarlahi. Bomjan is accused of the disappearance of Rita Bot from Sarlahi. The CIB team has already recovered 3 crore 3 lakh rupees from his residence, along with 15 mobiles, three laptops, and 35 pen drives.
The charges against him include missing individuals, killing one person, and rape, as reported by three nuns and two disciples living in the ashram. Rita Bot from Sarlahi, Karma Tamang from Nuwakot, and Phoolmaya Roomba from Makwanpur have gone missing from Bamjan’s ashram. Additionally, two followers, Suresh Alemgar from Bara and Sanchaman Waiba from Makwanpur, are also missing from his ashram in Sindhuli.
