Fuel Prices Slashed by Nepal Oil Corporation Starting January 16

Kathmandu: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a significant reduction in fuel prices, effective today, January 16, 2024. This decision comes in response to the latest procurement costs from the Indian Oil Corporation.

As per the price list provided by the IOC , the price per liter for petrol has been decreased by NPR 1.26, while diesel witnesses a reduction of NPR 0.83 per liter. This adjustment is aimed at providing financial relief to the general public amid ongoing economic challenges.

Commencing from the early hours of January 16, 2024, the new retail prices for petrol and diesel are lowered by NPR 1.00 per liter, providing immediate relief to consumers across the country.

The NOC has also implemented a revised retail pricing system within a 15-kilometer radius from its depots and offices, ensuring a fair distribution of these price reductions.

Note: Category 1 includes Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhganj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj. Category 2 includes Surkhet and Dang. Category 3 includes Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal.

This revision in fuel prices aims to reflect the current market conditions and enhance affordability for the public. The adjustments follow the corporation’s commitment to regularly review and align fuel prices based on international market dynamics.
