Kathmandu: Preparations are in full swing to implement the NRN Nepal Development Fund. In this regard, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel held discussions at the Ministry of Finance with Dr. Badri KC, President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), and Dr. Upendra Mahato, the founding president of NRNA, among others.

During the meeting, it was agreed to complete the necessary procedures to operationalize the Development Fund by the third week of September 2024. The fund, with a capital of NPR 10 billion, aims to invest in infrastructure projects across Nepal, under the coordination and cooperation of the Government of Nepal and the leadership of the Non-Resident Nepali Association.

In the NRN Nepal Development Fund Limited, the Government of Nepal will have a 5% stake, while Non-Resident Nepalis will hold the remaining 95%.
