Kathmandu: Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has instructed agencies under the ministry to make their operations efficient and result-oriented.
During a discussion on challenges and solutions with officials from the Department of Culture on Wednesday, Minister Pandey emphasized the need for swift action, stating, “Ensure that all pending files within the ministry are resolved within 24 hours.”
He further directed that each agency must submit progress reports by the end of September. He stressed the importance of providing detailed updates on programs outlined in the budget speech and the Red Book by the time of the quarterly review.
“Before October begins, agencies must clearly define what actions will be taken for the implementation of plans. Identify the programs that can be executed and those that cannot, and proceed with necessary preparations,” Pandey added.
The Minister also emphasized the need to prioritize tasks, proceed according to those priorities, and work efficiently towards policy reforms. He urged employees to perform their duties with integrity, stressing that delays occur when officials fail to act professionally. Minister Pandey called on everyone, including ministers and employees, to deliver tangible results.
In addition, Pandey highlighted the ongoing legislative processes, noting that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has assured the completion of inter-ministerial work within three days.
Finally, he urged sensitivity and action in prioritizing tasks, streamlining policies, and identifying structural issues.
