Kathmandu: Dr. Christina Barsky, Associate Professor and Director of the Master of Public Administration Program at the University of Vermont, has completed her one-week visit to Nepal. During her stay, she engaged in discussions on U.S. elections, election administration, and the role of media and youth in elections in both Kathmandu and Janakpur.
In Kathmandu, Dr. Barsky met with members of the U.S. Embassy’s Youth Council and participated in academic discussions with local journalists. Meanwhile, in Janakpur, she interacted with local representatives, participants of the Youth in Policy Governance Fellowship, and USAID Civil Society and Media Fellows. She also visited the famous Janaki Mandir and enjoyed the local cuisine and culture.
Dr. Barsky’s visit was part of the U.S. Speakers Program, which brings American experts to share their perspectives on key global issues such as democratic governance, climate change, and economic prosperity.
