Kathmandu: The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is set to expand its investment in Nepal. During a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel at the Ministry of Finance today, IFC’s Regional Director for South Asia, Imad Fakhoury, informed about IFC’s plans to increase its investment in the country.
Last year, IFC invested 100 million USD in Nepal.
Regional Director Fakhoury highlighted that IFC prioritizes green energy, job creation, and economic participation, and he expressed his commitment to playing a key role in broadening IFC’s investment in Nepal.
During the meeting, Finance Minister Paudel emphasized the need for more investment to improve Nepal’s economy and urged IFC to expand its investment while considering the country’s priorities and requirements.
