U.S. Govt Extends Congratulations to Nepal on Constitution Day

Kathmandu: On the occasion of Nepal’s Constitution Day, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Nepal, reaffirming the strong bond between the two nations.

“On behalf of the Government of the United States of America, I offer my sincere congratulations to the people of Nepal as you celebrate Nepal’s Constitution Day on September 19,” Blinken remarked, emphasizing the significance of the 77-year-long friendship between the U.S. and Nepal.

Blinken highlighted the pride shared in the joint efforts to enhance people-to-people ties, foster economic growth through debt-free initiatives like the Millennium Challenge Corporation, promote justice, and uphold democratic principles.

“The United States greatly values our 77 years of friendship with Nepal,” Blinken added. “We are proud of our joint efforts to strengthen people-to-people ties, boost economic growth, promote justice, and uphold democratic principles.”

The U.S. also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Nepal’s endeavors to strengthen democratic institutions and promote inclusive democracy.

“Happy Constitution Day, Nepal!” Blinken concluded, sending best wishes to Nepal for its continued progress in democracy and governance.

This message underlines the long-standing partnership between Nepal and the U.S. and the commitment to furthering cooperation in various areas, including justice, democracy, and economic growth.
