Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel held a meeting with China’s Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang at the Great Hall in Beijing. During the meeting, Minister Paudel expressed gratitude for China’s continuous support to Nepal and requested further assistance in areas such as physical infrastructure, economic prosperity, and human development, in line with Nepal’s specific needs and priorities. He emphasized that Nepal should benefit from China’s achievements in areas like infrastructure development and poverty alleviation.

Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang praised Nepal’s political achievements and extended his best wishes for Nepal’s economic development. He reiterated that China remains committed to supporting Nepal’s development efforts and assured that the implementation of past agreements and understandings will be given top priority.

On the same day, Minister Paudel also met with Luo Zhaohui, Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA). During the meeting, Minister Paudel appreciated CIDCA’s contribution to Nepal’s development and stressed the need to create a time-bound work plan through mutual agreement to implement past agreements and commitments. He also requested further significant support from China in the coming days.

Chairman Luo Zhaohui reaffirmed China’s commitment to implementing previous agreements and expressed China’s willingness to provide additional support based on Nepal’s needs.

Earlier, Minister Paudel held talks with another Chinese Vice Premier, He Lifeng.
