Kathmandu: The USA set a target of 157 runs for Nepal in the third T20I match held in Dallas on Monday morning.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, the USA posted 156 runs for the loss of six wickets. Opener Satyajeet Mukamala top-scored with 68 runs off 51 balls, including five fours and two sixes. Milind Kumar contributed 43 runs off 45 balls, hitting four boundaries.
Earlier, USA captain and opener Monank Patel was trapped LBW by Sompal Kami for just 2 runs. Andres Gaus, batting at number three, was dismissed for 2 runs, caught by Dipendra Singh Airee off Rejan Dhakal, creating early pressure for the hosts.
Nepal’s Sompal Kami claimed three wickets, while Rejan Dhakal and Lalit Rajbanshi picked up one wicket each. However, Dipendra Singh Airee, Kushal Malla, Gulshan Jha, and Aarif Sheikh remained wicketless.
Nepal, having already secured the series 2-0, aims for a clean sweep in today’s match. Nepal won the first game by 17 runs, and after a tie in the second match, emerged victorious in the super over.
