Kathmandu: As part of its commitment to ensuring secure banking services, Everest Bank has launched an awareness campaign focused on safe digital banking practices. Highlighting the importance of vigilance, the campaign urges customers not to trust calls from unknown numbers claiming to be from the bank.
According to the advisory, even if someone poses as a bank representative and requests personal information or OTPs over the phone, customers should be cautious. The bank reminds everyone that it will never ask for such details through phone calls. Everest Bank advises its clients to stay alert, avoid sharing sensitive information, and directly contact the bank for verification if in doubt.
This initiative is part of Everest Bank’s ongoing effort to enhance cybersecurity and protect its customers from fraud and scams. The campaign emphasizes the slogan, “Don’t Trust Unverified Bank Calls,” reinforcing the importance of verifying caller identities before disclosing any personal data.
