Kathmandu: The Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC) has announced an open call for concept notes for organizations seeking support through the Central Renewable Energy Fund. This initiative, backed by the Government of Nepal and international development partners, aims to facilitate distributed renewable energy (DRE) projects to promote energy access, particularly in rural and off-grid areas.
Interested organizations can submit concept notes under two main categories: (1) ongoing small-scale hydroelectric, mini-grid, and other renewable energy projects requiring technical and financial assistance, and (2) public-private partnership projects aimed at enhancing sustainable energy solutions.
The AEPC has outlined a two-phase application process. The first phase involves the submission of initial concept notes, which, if approved, will lead to the second phase where selected applicants will be invited to submit detailed project proposals. The concept notes must be submitted online by November 22, 2024.
The AEPC has emphasized that only concept notes meeting the outlined criteria will be considered for financial or technical support. For detailed information, applicants are advised to visit the official websites of AEPC, the Central Renewable Energy Fund, and the Nepal Renewable Energy Programme.
