Kathmandu: The Sunsari District Court, in a ruling on Sunday, rejected the plea to reconnect the disconnected electricity line of Reliance Spinning Mills. The Electricity Authority had severed the lines of the industry, citing non-payment of tariffs and unauthorized usage of dedicated and trunk lines.
Following the disconnection, a petition was filed in the Sunsari District Court seeking an interim order to restore the electricity supply to Reliance Spinning Mills. However, Judge Tek Bahadur Karki’s single bench order stated that the Spinning Mills had agreed to settle the arrears in 60 installments. Additionally, considering the authority’s decision to reconnect the industry line upon the completion of the application process, the court deemed it inappropriate to issue an interim order.
