Prime Minister Directs Fee Freeze and Free Training for Workers in Ministerial Discussion

Kathmandu: In a recent ministerial discussion of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, and Social Security, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal issued crucial instructions to safeguard the interests of workers. The Prime Minister emphasized the need to prevent the imposition of increased fees on workers, calling for immediate measures to ensure workers are not burdened financially.

As part of the directives, the Prime Minister mandated that pre-departure orientation training and other necessary training for workers heading for foreign employment should be provided free of charge. This responsibility falls on the Foreign Employment Board and the Skill Development Training Institute.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister urged authorities to refrain from imposing any additional financial burden, including extra service charges, on both domestic and foreign workers. These instructions underscore the government’s commitment to protecting the rights and welfare of workers, promoting fair and equitable practices in the labor and employment sector.
