Kathmandu: In a development related to the Ncell share sale and purchase case, today’s scheduled hearing faced an impediment as Spectralite UK Ltd., one of the key opponents, failed to appear before the High Court Patan. The hearing, presided over by Justice Dhruvaraj Nanda and Chandramani Gyawali, was anticipated to address crucial aspects of the case.
The court had previously ordered the publication of a 7-day notice in The Rising Nepal, dated Poush 18, notifying Spectralite UK Ltd. of the impending hearing. The notice was duly published on Poush23 (January 08, 2024). However, with the specified notice period still in effect and the absence of Spectralite UK Ltd., the court deemed it necessary to postpone today’s proceedings.
The court has now issued further instructions, outlining that if Spectralite UK Ltd. appears on the rescheduled date of 3rd Magh, the hearing party and other involved parties should be duly informed following established protocols. Moreover, the short-term interim order, initially issued on 21st Mangsir, has been granted an extension until the next hearing.
