Kathmandu: On Thursday, there was a noticeable decrease in the prices of gold and silver in Nepal. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, the price of gold per tola decreased by NPR 700, settling at NPR 1,75,500, while the price of silver also experienced a decline. The silver price stood at NPR 1,390 per tola.
The international market’s impact on the price drop has affected the local market as well, as per the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association. Previously on Wednesday, the price of gold per tola was NPR 1,78,200, which has now decreased to NPR 1,75,500 on Thursday. Similarly, the silver price has come down from NPR 1,400 to NPR 1,390.
This reduction in prices is attributed to the changes in the international market. The Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association expressed concern about the broader impact of these changes on the market. They stated that the silver price is likely to stabilize around NPR 1,390 per tola in the coming days.
