Weather Changes Across the Country, Cold Intensifies in Various Regions

Kathmandu: In the wake of changing weather patterns, a sudden drop in temperature has been observed nationwide, with the exception of the Far Western region, where a slight increase in rainfall is anticipated.

Due to the development of a low-pressure system in the Indian recreational state region, a minimal-pressure system has caused changes in many parts of the country on Wednesday afternoon, including the central regions. This has led to the intensification of cold weather compared to the previous days. However, only partial changes are expected in the Far Western region.

According to Sanjeev Adhikari, a meteorologist from the Weather Forecasting Division, the impact of this system is more pronounced in the eastern regions of Nepal. He mentioned, ‘Effects have been observed in the eastern and central regions; today, sporadic rainfall is likely.’

In Bihar, the low-pressure system has resulted in clouds forming over the Madhes and Koshi regions. Day and night rainfall is expected in these areas. Additionally, some places in the remaining five provinces, excluding the Far Western region, are likely to experience precipitation. Furthermore, there is a possibility of light snowfall in the high mountainous and Himalayan regions.

In Kathmandu Valley, a change in weather was observed on Tuesday afternoon. The minimum temperature in Kathmandu this morning was recorded at 7.2 degrees Celsius. Unlike the previous day, there is no forecast of rain in the Valley this morning. However, places like Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj, Simara, and Biratnagar experienced rainfall in the morning.
