Kathmandu: Historic Crown Unveiling Elevates Miss Universe Nepal 2024 to New Heights
The Miss Universe Nepal 2024 pageant reached an unprecedented milestone as Sheynnis Palacios, Miss Universe 2023, personally unveiled the coveted crown in a grand ceremony at the Hilton Kathmandu. This marks the first time a reigning Miss Universe has presented the crown in Nepal, elevating the pageant’s prestige and signaling a new era for the competition.
The Crown Reveal Ceremony was a star-studded affair, attended by dignitaries, celebrities, and the top 22 contestants vying for the Miss Universe Nepal 2024 title. The newly revealed crown, named the ‘Star of the Universe,’ symbolizes empowerment, resilience, and Nepal’s vibrant culture.
In her remarks, Palacios shared her excitement about being in Nepal for the event. “Nepal has always held a special place in my heart, and it is an honor to be here to reveal this magnificent crown. It represents not just beauty, but the strength and determination of every woman who wears it,” she said.
Crafted from premium white gold and adorned with brilliant diamonds and vibrant gemstones, the ‘Star of the Universe’ crown is inspired by the celestial beauty of the night sky. The design features intricate star motifs, representing guidance, brilliance, and the shining spirit of Miss Universe. Each element of the crown reflects Nepal’s rich heritage and natural beauty, making it a timeless symbol of excellence.
Before the crown’s unveiling, the 22 contestants participated in a preliminary round judged by a panel that included former Miss Nepal Ishani Shrestha, Sophia Bujel, Sabi Puri, Alexander Gonzalez, and Vidushi Rana.
With the crown now revealed, anticipation is building for the Miss Universe Nepal 2024 grand finale on September 7th, where one of these remarkable women will earn the right to represent Nepal on the global stage at Miss Universe 2024. The event promises to be a celebration of talent, beauty, and empowerment, setting a new standard for pageantry in Nepal.
