Pokhara: The government is offering prime land in Kaski district for lease, aiming to facilitate the establishment of a cutting-edge cancer hospital and research center in Gandaki Province. Swiss Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center Pvt. Ltd. has expressed interest in leasing 60 to 70 ropanis of land in Dhikurpokhari, Wards No. 5 and 7, for this ambitious healthcare project.

Valued at NPR 140,323,000 (Fourteen Crore Three Lakh Twenty-Three Thousand) based on the current government rates, the land is strategically located along the Pokhara-Baglung Highway. The government has issued a 21-day public notice, inviting bids from interested individuals or organizations willing to participate in a competitive process to lease the land at a higher rate than the stipulated minimum.

This move underscores the government’s strategy to leverage public land for high-impact health infrastructure projects, ensuring that the land is utilized effectively while promoting advanced medical care in the region. The successful bidder will play a key role in bringing state-of-the-art cancer treatment and research facilities to the people of Gandaki Province. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their applications within the specified timeframe.
