Kathmandu: German luxury watchmaker NOMOS Glashütte has officially entered the Nepalese market. Swiss Timepieces Nepal Pvt. Ltd., which established itself 52 years ago by importing and distributing luxury Swiss watches in Nepal, launched NOMOS on Bhadra 15 (August/September) during a formal ceremony. The sales and after-sales services for NOMOS watches have begun at Swiss Timepieces Nepal’s showroom located in Durbarmarg.
Founded in 1990 in Glashütte, Germany, NOMOS specializes in producing manual winding and automatic mechanical watches. Known for its simplicity and elegance in design, NOMOS has gained worldwide recognition for minimalist watch designs. Renowned for precise timekeeping, NOMOS is a brand highly favored by collectors. It is one of the few brands outside Switzerland to achieve significant success in watchmaking and is regarded with great respect in both Germany and across the globe.
Shambhu Dayal Jhunjhunwala, Chairman of Swiss Timepieces Nepal, expressed his delight at the launch, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce NOMOS, a brand long-awaited by Nepalese watch collectors. It is a brand and design that appeals to the modern generation. While maintaining its historical significance, NOMOS has brought modernity into its designs, making it highly popular among collectors.”
