Madi (Sankhuwasabha): Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka, has called for the full implementation of the budget allocated to local governments.

Speaking at a ‘Congratulation and Felicitation’ event organized by Madi Municipality on Tuesday evening, Minister Khadka urged all political parties, stakeholders, and citizens to work together to ensure effective budget implementation. He emphasized the need to make local governments feel tangible to the people through their work.

“We must work in a way that makes the people feel the presence of local government. If we collaborate with all parties and address local issues, the development of this area will surely take place. I urge all of you to focus on this,” he stated.

Minister Khadka also mentioned that all levels of government should work in alignment with the wishes and aspirations of the people. “As a representative of this region and a minister in the federal government, I have responsibilities towards the development of Madi and the entire Sankhuwasabha. Therefore, I am working to ensure the people of Sankhuwasabha benefit even more,” he remarked. The Energy Minister further highlighted that the government is working to electrify all areas of Sankhuwasabha by the end of this year.

Madi Mayor, Jeevan Linthep, expressed that the local government is working towards fulfilling the promises made during the elections and that the support of the central government would make these efforts easier. He also assured that the municipality would avoid political interference in development projects.
