Kathmandu: Mahesh Prasad Dahal has been appointed as the Independent Director of Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited. The decision was made during the bank’s 149th board meeting, in accordance with the Banks and Financial Institutions Act 2073 and the bank’s regulations. His four-year tenure as Independent Director is effective from August 13, 2024 (Bhadra 28, 2081).

Dahal, who recently retired as Secretary of the Government of Nepal, holds a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), along with a law degree. Throughout his service in the government, he gained extensive experience by holding various high-level positions and responsibilities. It is expected that during his term, the bank will reach new heights under his leadership.

His appointment is seen as a strategic move to strengthen the bank’s governance and operational excellence.
