Kathmandu: Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav has been admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for surgery. He was admitted on Tuesday evening for a planned hernia operation, according to hospital sources.

As per his personal physician, Dr. Shivjee Bikram Silwal, the surgery is scheduled for today.

Vice President Yadav had been suffering from hernia-related complications for a long time. The operation will be conducted by Professor Dr. Ramesh Singh Bhandari and Associate Professor Dr. Sumita Pradhan.
