Kathmandu: The lineup for Saurabh Chaudhary’s upcoming film ‘Karma’ is strengthening with new additions. Following the earlier announcement of Bipin Karki in the lead role, it has now been revealed that actress Upasana Singh Thakuri and actor Mukun Bhushal have also joined the cast.
Upasana will be seen opposite Bipin Karki, marking their first on-screen collaboration. Meanwhile, Mukun Bhushal is set to portray a negative character in the film. Mukun’s recent performance in ‘Purna Bahadurko Sarangi’ has been widely acclaimed, adding to the excitement around his role in ‘Karma.’
Director Chaudhary, who previously directed ‘Agastya: Chapter 1,’ has penned the story of ‘Karma’ himself. His earlier work garnered positive feedback from audiences and critics alike, raising high expectations for his latest project. In ‘Karma,’ Bipin Karki will be seen in an action-packed role for the first time, for which he has gained 8 kg to fit the character’s profile.
Scheduled to start filming in the second week of Mangsir, ‘Karma’ is set for release on Chaitra 29, aiming to coincide with the New Year celebrations. The movie will be shot in Dang and Rukum.
Even before its filming, the international distribution rights for ‘Karma’ have been sold to Seven Seas Entertainment. The film, presented by Artistic Entertainment, is being produced by Basanta Lamsal. Additional cast members are in the process of being finalized.
