
New Delhi – An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale struck India’s capital, New Delhi, and the surrounding NCR region early Monday morning.
According to Indian media reports, the tremor was recorded at 5:36 AM, with the epicenter located in Delhi at a depth of 5 kilometers, as stated by the National Center for Seismology (NCS) on X (formerly Twitter).
Following the earthquake, the Delhi Police issued a message urging citizens to stay safe. “We hope you are all safe. For emergency assistance, please dial 112,” the message read.
There have been no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage.
