Nabil Bank Honored as Highest Tax-Paying Bank by FNCCI

Kathmandu: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has honored Nabil Bank Limited as the highest tax-paying bank on the occasion of its 59th Annual General Meeting and Industry and Commerce Day 2081.

In a special ceremony held to mark the event, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli presented the certificate of recognition to Acting Chief Executive Officer Manoj Kumar Gyawali of Nabil Bank.

The award was presented in recognition of Nabil Bank’s significant contribution to the national economy through the highest tax payment among banks, financial institutions, and insurance companies during the fiscal year 2079/80.

Earlier, the Government of Nepal had also honored Nabil Bank with a certificate on National Tax Day, acknowledging it as the top taxpayer in the banking, financial, and insurance sector for the same fiscal year.

This is not the first time Nabil Bank has received such an honor. The bank was similarly recognized in fiscal years 2067/68, 2070/71, 2071/72, 2073/74, 2075/76, 2076/77, and 2077/78, making it a consistent contributor to the nation’s revenue.
