Kathmandu: Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited has reported a net profit of NPR 3.81 billion in the last fiscal year, marking a 49.53% increase compared to the previous year’s profit of NPR 2.55 billion.

During the review period, the bank’s net interest income rose from NPR 10.03 billion to NPR 10.08 billion, while its total income increased from NPR 11.54 billion to NPR 12.84 billion.

Similarly, operating profit climbed by 31.59% to NPR 5.38 billion, up from NPR 4.09 billion in the previous fiscal year. With the growth in profit, interest income, and total income, the bank’s distributable profit turned positive, reaching NPR 303.4 million, compared to a negative NPR 1.22 billion in the previous year.

Earnings per share (EPS) increased from NPR 16.32 to NPR 24.41, while the non-performing loan (NPL) ratio improved from 4.28% to 3.59%.

The bank has a paid-up capital of NPR 15.63 billion and reserves totaling NPR 37.47 billion.
