Kathmandu: Under the banner of Creative Cine Art, the film “Narsingh: Avatar” is set to feature an exciting lineup of actors. Directed by Diwakar Bhattarai, this action-packed social drama has already finalized six key cast members, including legendary actor Rajesh Hamal, Niti Shah, Saroj Khanal, Prashant Tamrakar, Neer Shah, Sanisha Bhattarai, and Deepa Shahi.
The film’s strong cast has now been further bolstered with the addition of actor Raj Katuwal, who signed on Friday. With Katuwal’s inclusion, the lineup of the film’s main characters is now complete. However, the production team has yet to reveal the specific roles each actor will play.
Director Bhattarai expressed his excitement about Katuwal joining the film, stating that he expects a great actor to emerge from this project. Katuwal, too, shared his happiness about being part of the film, noting that it is a significant opportunity for any artist to be involved in such a project. “The director has entrusted me with a major responsibility, and I am determined to meet the expectations placed upon me,” Katuwal said.
The film also marks the comeback of the legendary actor Rajesh Hamal after eight years. The news of Hamal’s return has already created a buzz in the Nepali film industry, and this project is expected to be special for both the audience and the actor, making it one of the most anticipated films.
Additionally, this film will see actor Saroj Khanal collaborating with director Bhattarai for the first time since “Captain,” while Rajesh Hamal and Saroj Khanal will share the screen after 30 years. The last time the two appeared together was in the film “Sadak,” released on September 27, 1994, directed by Tirtha Thapa.
Moreover, Bhattarai and actor Prashant Tamrakar have previously worked together in films like “Aishwarya,” “Captain,” and “Mayavi.”
The shooting of “Narsingh: Avatar” is scheduled to begin in the last week of Bhadra, with an estimated budget exceeding three crores. Meanwhile, Bhattarai’s other film, “Mayavi,” is in the final stages of preparation, with the release date expected to be announced soon.
