Kathmandu: Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Pandey, has stated that Nepal Airlines is currently facing significant challenges.

Speaking at the launch of the memoir “Adha Satabdi” (Half a Century) written by tourism entrepreneur Ram Prasad Sapkota on Monday, Minister Pandey highlighted the deteriorating condition of Nepal Airlines. “Nepal Airlines has declined and become extremely weak. We have not been able to secure it. There are challenges in ensuring the safety of the civil aviation sector. If we can improve this sector, it will contribute to the development of tourism,” he said.

Minister Pandey also noted that Sapkota’s book discusses the distortions and discrepancies within the tourism sector, emphasizing the need for all stakeholders to work with integrity for the betterment of the industry.

Additionally, Minister Pandey expressed his commitment to advancing the tourism sector with sincerity and dedication.
