Kathmandu: A well-equipped laboratory mobile van, purchased six years ago for the on-site monitoring of food products, has finally become operational. Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Ramnath Adhikari inaugurated the long-delayed van today during a visit to the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control (DFTQC).
Expressing his confidence in the van’s utility, Minister Adhikari stated, “This mobile laboratory van will play a key role in controlling the consumption of substandard food and beverages, which has been a persistent issue.” He further explained that the van was purchased with significant investment by the government to safeguard the public from consuming unsafe food items.
