Kathmandu: In a move to facilitate easy transportation for the public during the Dashain festival, Nepal Police has launched a free bus service on two different routes. The service will be available on October 10 and 11, 2024 (Ashwin 25 and 26, 2081 B.S.).
According to Nepal Police, this service aims to ensure smooth and affordable travel for the general public during the festive season. The bus service will operate in two shifts – one at 8:30 AM and another at 4:00 PM – along two major routes:
- Route No. 1: Starting from New Buspark, the bus will pass through Balaju, Swayambhu, Kalanki, Balkhu, Satdobato, Lagankhel, Jawalakhel, Thapathali, Maitighar, and other major locations, before concluding at the Jaynepal Hall in Naxal.
- Route No. 2: This route will begin at Koteshwar and cover major stops including Sallaghari, Surya Binayak, Chabahil, Sukedhara, Maharajgunj, Baluwatar, and Ratopul before finishing at the same destination, Jaynepal Hall.
This initiative reflects Nepal Police’s commitment to serving the public during one of the busiest travel periods of the year, ensuring convenient and safe transportation for everyone.
Passengers can take advantage of this free bus service, which is expected to significantly ease travel woes during Dashain, the biggest festival in Nepal.
