Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has emphasized that activities aimed at dividing Nepali hearts and promoting anarchy or communal discord will not be allowed to flourish. Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the Armed Police Force (APF) Inspector Basic Training (Batch 16) held at the APF Academy, Matatirtha, Prime Minister Oli reiterated that no unlawful or anarchic activities will be allowed to take root or succeed.
During the ceremony, the Prime Minister extended best wishes to the newly commissioned police officers, encouraging them to be prepared for national peacekeeping efforts, especially in the face of natural disasters and other challenges. He also informed the attendees that the government is working on legal amendments to enhance the efficiency of the APF and provide improved facilities.
PM Oli praised the APF’s vital role in securing Nepal’s borders and expressed hope that the organization will continue to grow in strength and stature.
The event was attended by Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Public Service Commission Chairman Madhav Regmi, Chief Secretary Eknarayan Aryal, Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel, Home Secretary Gokarnamani Duwadi, Inspector General of Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, and APF Inspector General Raju Aryal, among others.
A total of 45 trainees successfully completed the program and are now ready to take on field assignments.
