Kathmandu: The character look of actor Jitu Nepal from the upcoming movie Karsang has been officially released. The production team unveiled Jitu’s character portrayal today, showcasing a significant transformation.

Contrary to the photos Jitu shared from the set with fellow actors during the shoot, his character look in Karsang reveals a different persona. It suggests that Jitu has put in substantial effort to bring depth to his role. Dressed in a black cap, checkered shirt, waistcoat, black pants, and knee-high boots, he is seen resting a bag on his knee and holding a bowl, which seemingly contains traditional alcohol. The backdrop of houses, hills, and mist indicates that his character is a local resident of a high-altitude village.

The poster features the phrase, “Makai ta pinne ghatta ma pirati basyo thatta ma,” hinting that Jitu’s character might be visiting a mill to grind maize, possibly setting the stage for a romantic subplot. However, the production team has not provided further details on this aspect.

Previously, Karsang revealed the character look of Dayahang Rai, marking the gradual commencement of its promotional campaign.

Directed and written by debutant Yam Sherpa, Karsang is set to release on January 10. The film is rooted in Sherpa culture and stars Dayahang Rai, debut actress Sirjana Ningale, Jitu Nepal, Diya Maskey, Buddhi Tamang, Srishti Gautam, Doma Hyolmo, Prem Lopchan, Survir Pandit, and others.

The film is presented by Yarsa Films and Purushottam Pradhan Films, with Purushottam Pradhan serving as both cinematographer and producer. Co-producers include Govinda Bohara, executive producer Angchiring Sherpa, and line producer Birendra Shahi.

International distribution rights have been acquired by Suman Parajuli and Somlal Thokar of Adhikar Hulya Events, while RR Films holds the nationwide distribution rights.
