Government Revenue Reaches 323 Billion 27 Crores, Expenditure Hits 415 Billion 2 Crores in First Four Months of FY 2081/82

Kathmandu – The Financial Comptroller General Office has released the fiscal report for the first four months (Shrawan to Kartik) of FY 2081/82. The government collected NPR 323 billion 27 crores 78 lakhs in total revenue, achieving 22.78% of its target of NPR 1419 billion 30 crores 30 lakhs. This included NPR 289 billion 92 crores 43 lakhs in tax revenue (22.58% of the target) and NPR 33 billion 35 crores 35 lakhs in non-tax revenue (24.69% of the goal).

Total government expenditure during this period reached NPR 415 billion 2 crores 2 lakhs, which is 22.31% of the budgeted NPR 1860 billion 30 crores 30 lakhs. Recurrent expenditure amounted to NPR 292 billion 52 crores 68 lakhs (25.65% of its allocation), while capital expenditure was NPR 34 billion 53 crores 10 lakhs, marking only 9.8% of its budgeted amount.

These figures reflect a steady pace in recurrent spending but highlight challenges in capital expenditure and revenue collection that may impact developmental objectives.
