Kathmandu: The Hult Prize at Shanker Dev Campus successfully concluded its orientation program on Wednesday at the campus hall in Putalisadak, Kathmandu. The program featured various engaging activities and was inaugurated by Acting Campus Chief Jogendra Gohit, who lit a traditional oil lamp to commence the event.
Campus Director Srishti Neupane delivered the welcome speech, emphasizing the significance of the program and warmly welcoming all participants. The event was graced by the special presence of Hult Prize Nepal’s National Coordinator Subi Kafle and National Community Leader Garima Shrestha. They provided insights into Hult Prize Nepal’s initiatives and upcoming competitions, while also inspiring students to advance in their social entrepreneurship journeys.
Acting Campus Chief Gohit highlighted the importance of such programs, expressing confidence that they would inspire students and offer long-term benefits. Similarly, Student Union Chairperson Sushant Basnet encouraged students to take full advantage of these opportunities in the future.
The highlight of the event was the panel discussion titled “Empowering the Next Generation: Entrepreneurs as Changemakers.” The panel featured prominent entrepreneurs, including Biplab Karki (CEO, Hyperce), Ajit B. Shah (CEO, Lotus Holding), Abhusan Jyoti Kansakar (Founder, Jeevee), and Binayak Kuikel (Content Creator). They shared their experiences of launching startups, overcoming challenges, and motivated students to excel in the field of social entrepreneurship.
Approximately 350 students attended the event, engaging actively with the panelists by asking questions and delving into meaningful discussions on social enterprises. To add excitement, attractive prizes were distributed to students who answered trivia questions correctly.
The program concluded with a musical performance by the Triads Band, adding an element of entertainment to the event.
