Kathmandu: The highly anticipated Nepali film ‘Janai Harayeko Bahun’ is gaining momentum as its lineup continues to strengthen. Having already secured a release date, the production team is now unveiling its cast.

The film’s makers have confirmed Keki Adhikari and Miruna Magar as the lead actresses. Earlier, Vijay Baral, Gaurav Pahari, and Rear Rai had already been signed for significant roles.

Following Vijay Baral’s casting in a lead role, Keki and Miruna have now joined the team, but the production house has yet to disclose which of the two actresses will be paired opposite him.

A theme motion poster for the film was released earlier, hinting at an emotional narrative between a mother and son. The story will highlight the struggles a son endures for his mother’s happiness.

‘Janai Harayeko Bahun’ marks the directorial debut of Himal Nyaupane, with ‘Prem Geet 3’ actor Manish Raut serving as the associate director. The screenplay and dialogues have been penned by Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal. The film will depict the unexpected challenges faced by a simple man moving from a village to the city and how these experiences transform his life.

Produced by Aditya Films, the movie boasts a talented crew, including Naveen Gurung as the cinematographer, Samrat Maharjan (Jack) as the creative director, and Mayank Niraula as the VFX supervisor.

The film is set to begin shooting by the end of this year and will release on Haritalika Teej (Bhadra 10) next year. It will be released simultaneously in Nepal and overseas markets.
