
Kathmandu: The Ministry of Finance has appointed Neelam Dhungana Timsina, Senior Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), as the Acting Governor. The decision was made by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel under Section 27 of the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058 (2002).
Timsina’s appointment as Acting Governor comes into effect immediately, ensuring continuity in the leadership of the central bank. This move follows standard protocol to delegate responsibilities in the absence or transition of the sitting Governor, reflecting the Ministry’s confidence in her expertise and experience.
