Kathmandu: The Nepal Police has announced restrictions on vehicle movement in multiple areas of Kathmandu due to ongoing protests in the capital. The advisory, issued to ensure public safety and manage traffic disruptions, urges commuters to use alternative routes until further notice.
The affected areas include:
- Khasibazaar to Makalu
- Kalanki Chowk to Bafal
- Balkhu Chowk to Kuleshwor
- Kalimati Chowk to Teku
- Kirtipur to Sundarighat, Sainbu, and Ekantakuna
To minimize disruptions, the Nepal Police has identified alternative routes for commuters, including Tripureshwor, Balaju, Halchowk, Naikap, Sitapaila, Chobar, Pharping, Nakhu Dobato, and Koteshwor. Additional diversion points may be introduced if necessary to accommodate changing conditions. Diversion points have been established to guide traffic flow during the protests.
