IT Scholarship Program 2025: Eight Outstanding Students Selected

Kathmandu – The IT Scholarship Program Nepal 2025, jointly organized by TechSkills Institute Australia and Nepal Tube, has been successfully concluded. Eight students demonstrating exceptional performance were selected for the scholarship in the final stage of the program.

The program was designed to provide opportunities in the information technology sector to talented, hardworking, committed students and graduates who require financial support. It received an overwhelming response from across the country. Out of thousands of applications, 120 candidates were interviewed in the first phase, from which 32 students were shortlisted. The interview round was held on Mangsir 23, in the presence of Biraj Bhadel, Founder of TechSkills Institute Australia, and Prasanna Shrestha, Managing Director.

Similarly, the second phase—the presentation round—was conducted on Mangsir 26, where 16 students were selected from the shortlisted 32 to advance to the final round. After intense competition in the Final Battle Round held on Poush 5, Sophiya Tamang, Bibek Adhikari, Prarthana Mishra, Puspa Sukla, Rasham Shahi, Shisam Shrestha, Sonika Rijal, and Suresh Shahi emerged as the Top Eight winners of the IT Scholarship Program 2025.

The special event was graced by Paras Khadka, former captain of the national cricket team and current General Secretary of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), as the chief guest.

The selected top eight students will now receive a 16-week Australia-standard job-ready training program from TechSkills Institute Australia. The training includes hands-on practical learning, expert mentorship, real-world industry projects, and job readiness support. Additionally, the organizers announced that the top two performers will also receive Australia-standard IT job placement support.
According to the organizers, the program is a significant initiative aimed at connecting Nepalese IT talent with international-level skills, experience, and employment opportunities.
